I Just Bought Parallels Desktop 3.0 For Mac

I just bought parallels desktop 3.0 for mac pro

The other night the internet explorer froze up and I had to shut down my computer to get it moving again. When I tried to open windows it says that it has a corrupt r file (or something-black screen). Where do I get support to help with this? I called my apple support and they say, it is parallels or Microsoft. I called microsoft and they said they think windows should be installed this way and won't offer support (paid or otherwise).

Just

Any suggestions? Should I uninstall parallels? When I called apple to help with this.same thing.they can't help me uninstall it.

Any advice would be appreciated? Well, first thing is you need to be more specific if you really wan to get a correct solution. Saying 'a corrupt file or something' is not enough. The best I can do on the information you supplied is guess. Sounds like it probably said something like missing or corupt hal.dll. This is a common problem in xp from a bad shutdown (This is a WINDOWS issue, not Parrallels and would happen the same if you were on a win only box and killed it). If this is the case, bad hal.dll, you can copy a new one but it still might need a re-install.

That message is seen if the file is, indeed, corrupt but it is also seen for other reasons like a bad boot.ini or partion error. Best to re-install windows.Parallels is fine. You could just delete the xp vm directory and reinstall by selecting new virtual machine in Parallels. Oh, and I have personally been using Parrallels for over a year with no problems (after the first month or so of getting the hang of things). I like it for a lot of things actually.
